Global Ship Modeler

Viking Systems creates the global model using a combination of the Nauticus Hull Modeler, SAGA and Patran-Pre modeling systems. The finite element model is imported into the DNV SESAM system for loading, solving, and evaluation.

Ultimate Strength Assessment 

Viking Systems uses SAGA to check the resulting stress from the SESTRA finite element analysis against the DNV yielding and buckling criteria.

WADAM Hydrodynamic Analysis

 Viking Systems uses the DNV Hydrodynamic program WADAM to predict the vessels motions in the design environment. WADAM is also used to develop and apply dynamic pressures and accelerations to the finite element model.

Stochastic Fatigue Analysis 

Viking Systems creates detailed finite element models of potential fatigue problem areas identified by a global model screening    

The local fatigue model is solved for a set of 12 wave headings and 20 wave periods. The DNV program STOFAT is used to predict the resulting damage ratio and remaining fatigue lives of the details.
